Big TA has retired from the England scene. Arsenal fans will be pleased as it is clearly apparent that Adams can only manage about 20-25 games a season and Arsenal need him for all those games.
Adams will be missed by England and it is amazing that he only won 66 caps. He deserved 100 and should have always been first choice for captaincy. David Platt and David Beckham are not fit to lick TA's boots when it comes to organising and motivating other players.
England have some good defenders coming though but none are in the class of Tony Adams in terms of ability and stature.
It was great to hear Tony Adams stating that he is 'moulding' Patrick Vierra into the next Arsenal captain, and also hearing the Arsenal board saying they would like Tony to stay on in a coaching role once he retires from playing club football.
