Sad news I thought he was on the way to recovery but it wasn't to be.

I had it on next to me while I was on my PC but that and the last 10 minutes were the only bits I actually watched properly.
Yeah, that was nice. Didn't see a lot of the show because it really has become a dull affair in recent years. Saw the Hunter bit though.
Nice to see he won the Helen Rollason award at the Sports Personality Of The Year last night :)
I was really sad when I heard this today. I didnt even know he was sick. It was partly the shock that upset me too.
Read about it this morning. It must be a very difficult time for his family. I would have thought he would have gone on to at least reach a World final in the future. I guess the longer the treatment went on, the less likely it would be for him to recover.
