And speaking of turning, have you seen the way that, when you turn to the right, the right of the car lifts up like in real rally racing. The turning was ace and the handbrake turns are absolutly superb. I hope Nintendo can match this quality, and I know that the PS2 is supposed to crash but I would get one, and probably will when they lower in price.
The Second Game I played was, Dynasty Warriors 2, and again wow!. The graphics were excellent and the shadows were perfect, and I mean perfect. People slander this console loads but I am telling you, you'd love it if you had one.
All consoles have faults, the PSX and N64 alike, regarless of the PS2's problems it is a God send to those who have one.
I would maybe wait until the price has dropped to get one, and wait for some more appealing games, but people say that the PS2 won't last long because of the lack of games....NO WAY! RR5 would keep me going forever!
One thing that concerns me is the loading times, I suppose it is not THAT much faster than a DC and so a big difference can't be expected. But having said this, loading times are no set-back compared to the satisfaction of the games!!!
The Game
Some of them are - others are obviously from the replay.
But one of the most impressive shots - the rear of a car, at night, in the rain, certainly appears to be an in-game, in-car drivers-eye view.
Bear in mind, though, that - graphically at least - RR5 is perhaps one of PS2's weakest titles. Don't get me wrong - I have the game, and I love it... it does look great, but it's nowhere near the best that the machine can do.
Take a look at the latest GT3 shots on Daily Radar and, if Ridge 5 impresses you, you'll have a coronary when you see these!

no disrespect, but... are you being serious

Yeah, I know I am a die-hard Nintendo fan but I really liked the way RR5 played,I was impressed, I have seen a door, looks good, but I don't know if I want to go through it. I think I'll wait for the GC and then decide.
But I wouldn't count Sony out, I mean most people say....ah it only plays old games....NO!!!!!Would you liked the N64 to have played Secret of Mana and all your other favourites.
The fact that the PS2 plays PSX games is only an extra...more games will come out...give it time, the N64 had a slower start than this, and people seem happy with that!
