With Tigana set to leave Fulham in the summer, young French midfielder has Malbranque hinted that he would not be far behind.

He was brought for £4million two years ago from Lyon, and having put in a fairly impressive performance this season including netting more then the odd goal, he has been linked with clubs like Liverpool. Being French it seems that Arsenal would be the obvious club for him, but Gerard Houllier has let it be know that he is rather a large fan of the youngster. He still has three years left on his contract at Loftus Road, but has been quoted as saying that he is “flattered” with the link to Anfield and that, “I'm concentrating on the matches we have left, but at the appropriate time, I'll study the offers open to me, if any come up.”

When the new manager is installed he will have around eight players to discuss terms with, as their contracts are also expiring in the summer, amongst those players are: Andy Melville, Mark Taylor, Lee Clark and John Collins.

It gets even worse; Steed is not the only player that has been linked away from the club. Young striker Louis Saha and French international Steve Marlet have both hinted about leaving the club when Tigana goes.

It sounds like a fairly challenging state to be faced with upon taking on a new managing position.

Who do you think would be up for the job? After poor old El Tel’s short stay with Leeds, this would probably be a stroll in the park for him. Vialli has been heavily linked with the club, and after turning up to last weekend’s home game against Blackburn, both Fulham and Vialli’s agent have been playing down the possibility of him managing the club.

So, who do you think will take on the job?

I'm surprised to see Jean Tigana's side have go downhill so quickly, and so badly. When you look at the players he's bought-into the squad since he arrived, it's hard to understand why this has happened.

But when a side of quality players just aren't performing, perhaps the manager is to blame... He's doing the right thing walking out now, before he gets sacked.

I doubt Saha will leave though. I just can't see him going anywhere else, really. He's done so much for them, already. And if they do lose Steed Malbranque, it'll be a great dissapointment for the Fulham fans - wherever they'll be sat, next-season! He's a fantastic player - one who can really bring an attack to life. Marlet may well leave, though. He's barely had a single good game since he arrived last-year for... £11m, was it?? What a waste he's turned out to be!

Tigana's a good manager, but his time has come to an end.

With a strong foreign-influence within the squad, and a lot of money to spend, this time (unlike at Watford!), I'd like to see Gianluca Vialli in charge, next.

It should also be, 'Malbranque was bought', not brought. You crazy people! Get the brought-bought stuff right! Ahem.

Anyway, I probably wouldn't throw Tigana out - he's probably one of the best they can get.
