Well, aren't I a good little house_monkey. I can't say that I've done any ironing for well over 2 years. I normally just wash'n'wear. Makes me realise how skanky my clothes are. Come to think of it, there was a period about a year ago when I was working in an office and I needed clean shirts everyday. That's a bit of a blur now, but I probably wouldn't have worked there for so long if my shirts weer all dutty. Anyway, housework, eh?

I ironed a shellsuit once and it melted.

Funny thing is, most people will simply leave home without knowing how to look after themselves. As I got older, my mum forced me to clean my own room and stuff, stuff like doing the dishwasher and, um, stuff. It was the biggest injustice to man in the history of this planet!* Before I move out, probably next year, I'm gonna demand that she shows me how to iron.

*no, not really

I cook a mean roast. It's all in the timing and preparation is therefore of paramount importance.

Did you know my nickname at work is mousemonkey, as I am always giving presentations about our website? It is a tenuously linked nickname to what I do but any Monkey talk makes me happy.

Dammit. I had a bowl of icecream to go with my ironing, turned my head for 5 minutes and my cat was in it! There's plenty more icecream in the freezer, Kitty.....

I can make and change my bed, I can vacuum, I can wash the dishes and use a dishwasher, I can make (basic) meals and can feed the cat. What I can't do, is wash clothes and iron. I'm still your average "mum does it" kid.
