Round 4 takes us into the European races and the season is really starting to heat up. The track, unfortunately, has memories of 1994 when Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger were tragically killed. The track has, since then, undergone numerous chances to make it safer.

Qualifying last year saw Alex Yoong take his second pole position in 4 races. Alex Yoong didn't turn any of these into wins however. Minardi had a good day with Webber taking 3rd just behind Ralf Schumacher.

The race was a different picture. Qualifying was dry, the race was wet. It was Jarno Trulli that came through from 7th on the grid to win. That win for Trulli gave him the championship lead but his season crumbled after that.

Going into this race, Trulli has a 5 point lead over Raikkonen with De La Rosa and Firman both a win away from opening the title race wide open. The constructors championship is even closer with Renault and McLaren sharing top spot on 26 points with Jordan only 4 points further back.

After 3 races, lets see how everyone is fairing so far:

Average qualifying position:

Pole - Trulli
2nd - Fisichella
3rd - Verstappen
4th - Montoya
5th - Coulthard
6th - Alonso
7th - Raikkonen
8th - Firman
9th - Wilson
10th - Button
11th - De La Rosa
12th - Webber
13th - Pizzonia
14th - Heidfeld
15th - Frentzen
16th - R Schumacher
17th - Villeneuve
18th - M Schumacher
19th - Irvine
20th - Da Matta
21st - Barrichello
22nd - Panis

Average race finishes:

1st - Trulli
2nd - Firman
3rd - De La Rosa
4th - Fisichella
5th - Pizzonia
6th - Coulthard
7th - Raikkonen
8th - Webber
9th - Alonso
10th - Heidfeld
11th - Button
12th - Verstappen
13th - R Schumacher
14th - Panis
15th - M Schumacher
16th - Da Matta
17th - Montoya
18th - Frentzen
19th - Villeneuve
20th - Irvine
21st - Barrichello
22nd - Wilson

(There has only been 3 races, so results may not be very accurate)

As you can see, the rate Trulli is going, the championship is his. It is very early days though and anyone can go on and win. Can anyone stop Trulli? Keep it tuned to the SR F1 Championship!

Average 7th on both stats - not too bad. Confident (hopes!) things get better, there's a long way to go yet.
