The asia cup in which Chelsea, newcastle and Birmingham are suppose to compete in late July could be affected by the SARS virus. It is not till late July and Kaula Lumpur is unaffected at the moment but the situation is being monitored. Although as a fan Chelsea playing in Asia doesn't bother me, (altough it will be quite cool as it will probably be screened on TV) i wouldn't wanted to be cancelled, Chelsea will make over £1 million from just taking part and it can't harm us to get more support in Asia. So financially it is quite important to us and is more important that playing crappy third division teams as a warm up for the new season.
It would be a pity if thatwas to be cancelled but we don't want some of the best football players in the world picking up a fatal virus. If it is cancelled it would be for the best, but still be a bad thing.
