I have a webpage that I'm using to try and learn a bit about making sites/designing graphics , www.tomthorpe.co.uk, which has a flash intro as the index.htm page.
This intro is starting to annoy me in the way it runs every time I enter the site, but I still want it to be there for people who haven't visited before.
So I was thinking I could try and put a cookie on the user's computer when they go to the index.htm page. Next time they visit, this cookie would be detected, and they would be instantly directed to main.htm instead.
I haven't got a clue how to do this.
I'm using BTopenworld as my host, and it's gay, so I don't think things like php work.
Can anyone help? Do you know of any HTML scripts to do this?
