Can anbody give any tips to improve an average minimum ping rating of 370+? I am running a 56K modem on a Duron 700pc.

There is only one real option here, make sure you have a hardware modem or plump up the dough for broadband (i get pings between 30-40.
phone bt and ask then the check phone line .If line is ok ask them to turn up the gain max is 7 me thinks. What modem have you got ? get an external hardware modem if you dont already have one. I had an internal modem not a bad make modem ping was 300 350 top on most servers bought a new external modem ping now 160 220 top depending on what servers i use :)
