Sega are not dead, a bit like the volcanoes of the far east, Sega are waiting, Bideing their time waiting to pounce! I really think Sega should do well, They have lead the multitudes..well Nintendo Sony and Microsoft into the world onf the Next Generation!

Peopl always rant on about how Nintendo are the masters of innovation and surprise, Me for one. But thinking about it sega have always seemed to take the first step, into the wilderness. They gambled on On-line gaming now others will follow now they know which path to take. They were the ones thatgave us 'The Graphics' I know SM64 was good and MGS too but there weren't the curves and smooth textures that Sega brought us!

If only they had a Trish Stratus Modelling game!

But seriously I think that Sega should fight for the Dreamcast and really hit companies hard with their new games. They brought PC playing to Consoles and they deserve a lot more credit than most of us are letting on! They are like that foundation of the gaming industry, without them and maybe Nintendo SONY and MICROSOFT wouldn't have a step to stand on!

This is the main forum area for discussing anything to do with Broadspeed.

Its the main discussion area for the whole site. Please make sure your post belongs in this section.

Try to start a new topic for each subject.

Don't change the subject half way through a thread. If you think of something else then start a new topic.

Don't insult other members. Certainly you can be critical if you disagree with their comments but keep it fairly clean.

Enjoy !

Sheepy you haven't claimed a game you won, and what about NTL? No one told me.

Dan,
What do you think about NTL increasing their charges?

Sleeping they are yes.

Sega are just gearing up for a few more hard hitting - in your face - triple A class titles to be released - namely Half Life and PSO.

Dreamcast has sold very well in comparison to all the other Sega machines - EB and Game still support it very well, however WHSmith don't - but then they're daft.

If you're looking for an absolute demon of a deal regarding a Dreamcast and 5 games then email me [email protected] - it's brand new - only I can't tell you on the SR forums its mean.

I will personally be supporting the DC as much as I can - I've bought 5 Dreamcasts (obviously to sell on to people) 59 games, 6 control pads every official peripheral and 2 games mags subscriptions.

I am delighted with it!!

People are buying PSone though...

Well funnily enough I was going to get a Dreamcast, I know sooooo many people who, despite all the stick, really enjoy their games. I am still looking for the best package, I want a new one because I don't want there to be much chance of it screwing up because I think it will carry on for a good few months if years!

Most of the packages come with Chu-Chu, I don't really like that sort of game, but if it has to be then....what the heck!

I am interested in MSR, Shenmue and Q3A and UT Online, Toy Story 2 looks appealing as well. Well I am off to The Big Apple Mid Feb so i'll see what cash I have left in Mr. HSBC!

PS: Do you think that the fact that the Dreamcast will be even cheaper when the NGC and XB come out will play a big factor in the sales of the 3 consoles? Not forgetting the PS2!

I agree the Dreamcast has impressed me immensly, it just hasnt done that well because we all believed the hype about PS2 being so good that we would sell our souls to get one...and so we kept our cash and waited. Unfortunately know the PS2 has arrived, we realise the truth, that the PS2 is just a bug ridden system with good but as yet no great games.
As soon as I get some cash I intend to get a Dreamcast, my mate has one and Im really impressed with Soul Caliber, Shenmue, and House of the Dead2.
