One day to go at Argos and...

I've hurt my back. Not sure how badly, but it hurts to move. I feel like one of those American cops, just a day from retirement and then gets shot.

Really annoying though!

Not worth it really as found out at the interview that they were only offering 10 hours of work a week at 5.40 an hour. Not to bad if it was in my hometown, but I'd have to pay £6 a day in bus fares to get there! I'd be working for practically nothing!

Don't you know too much about games to be working there? :D

I had a thought about working for somewhere like Game if I won the lottery. You know, somewhere that wasn't too taxing to work for, but still meant that you got out and met people.

Just wait until another news story runs about people stealing your identity by taking unshredded documents out of your bin...then they'll fly off the shelves...

A shredder? Boy, they need to get rid of them (we put 17, yes 17 away today of the same type. plus about 10 of all the other types.) Putting the new ones next to the old ones, a lil Argos store like the on I work(ed) in has over 100 shredders. Sseeming that number drops over night, Yate must be the home of the shredder collectors (only 25,000 or so live here though...)

Or why not a vacuum cleaner...a crockpot slow cooker...chocolate fountain...a set of knives...some weight-lifting equipment....A CUDDLY TOY!...Cyberman voice changer...power drill...the list goes on (sorry about the generation game pun in there)

I'm employed by Argos until tomorrow - but today was my last day. Wahay!

I did, but it's the climbing ladders with heavy boxes that's difficult. Especially the vacuum cleaners on top shelves :o

Didn't help that somebody fell off the ladder onto me and bent my glasses. Bit better now, but means I'll have a nice easy day tomorrow...

Lift with your legs. Didn't they give you a training video?

I'd rather have a date with one of the checkout staff...

Actually spoke to her today - not done that before (apart from letting her pass me in the stockroom whilst carrying a vacuum cleaner, an ironing board or a plasma television). But she sold me batteries and realised I existed as she gave me a discount on my batteries.

I should have made a joke when she asked for my (employee) number...
