Fawlty Towers.
My dad picked it up on DVD the other week and practically forced me to watch it, even though I was reluctant because I had hazy memories of it being crap. All I can say is, my memories were dead wrong - it’s bloomin’’ hilarious! I’ve watched every episode a few times now, and whereas most comedies suffer from the law of diminishing marginal utility, this never ceases to make me laugh.
If you don’t have this, I compel you to purchase it - its absolute class, and runs roughshod over the dross churned out these days (with a few notable exceptions)

I got the entire series on DVD a while back - One of the best comedies Ive ever seen! Classic
