Another day, another college project (that's five on the go now)

We have to write a proposal and treatment for a music video, then storyboard it etc. Trouble is, we HAVE to pick a song that's been in the top 40 in the last year (from March 2002 to present day I've been told)

As you can imagine, most of the top 40 over the last year has been god-awful pop and dance music. The lowest of the low.

I'm really stumped, as are most of the other students, as GOOD songs in the top 40 are very rare. Can you lot throw me some suggestions? I have an idea for a video, just need a fitting song. Something that wouldn't look out of place in The Matrix.. hmm, maybe Rob D - Clubbed To Death or something? Maybe Drowning Pool - Bodies (not too sure if that made it to the top 40 here though)

Anyone got any suggestions? Top 40 - within the last year, something that could be used for a fight scene or a training montage (like in Rocky)

Foo Fighters - All My Life.

Not one of my favourites, but you should be able to do something with it.

Why such a restriction anyway?

Lap Dance - N*E*R*D
(If not just for the whispering of 'dirty dogg')
Star Guitar - Chemical Brothers
(their video was cack but it wouldn't fit with what you want really)
Get Free - The Vines
(another cack video but the single is brilliantly simple)
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Spread Your Love
(if not just for the riff)

Lemon Jelly's "Nice weather for ducks" was an excellent song. Though it also had an excellent video already.

Nowhere near what you want, but it's in my head now.

As far as I recall, Clubbed to death was re-released at the same time as Rob Dougan's album "Furious Angels" was released. I think that was within the last year, and it should have made the charts.

Great song, love Drowning Pool. Good to see Rob Zombie singing with them, although it's still a shame about Dave Williams. Think he was called Dave Williams...

Anyway, Bodies is one heck of a great song, the lyrics kinda repesent me...
