Basically i have just "aquired" a free 19" IBM monitor with a touch screen and i was going to use this for my main pc monitor but i would hardly ever use the touchscreen part, i though this would be a waste of good hardware, i have decided to make a sort of jukebox to go in my lounge, i have a system already in there with a 10100 lan access to this computer, i have all the hardware sorted but instead of having windows xp screen when i boot i want it to run a program with buttons on for my music and movies, this i also know how to do, i have decided to use frontpage and create web pages for the buttons, this may sound easy but these are the things i want to do but have no idea of the best way of doing it.

first screen will give me the chioce of Music of Movies, easy enough with a hyperlink to take me to the relevant page, then should i have catagories of differant genre's or have a couple of buttons one catagorizing the music in albums using album pictures and the other list each indevidual song in alphabetical order, i would like to use a search engine as well, how would i do this???? also is it possible to create a sort of keyboard on a web page with setting each button as a link and then making that letter or number appear un a search box, also another question, what software can i use to run the musicvideo which would be easy to cancel then go back to normal screen (would like visualizations), one more thing, how would i get it to be able to set up a playlist without having to open said music program.

Please try to answer these questions guys.

Oh yeah. I need your email address too, so I know where to send it. It is likely to be in several files, so WinZip would make things easier, but it doesn't matter if you don't have WinZip.

I need to know:
- Your screen resolution
- Your browser name and version
- What you want me to make. You've given a general idea, but maybe a bit more info would be handy
- How you want it to appear (normal, maximised or full screen)

Ideally you want to use some form of web FE for Winamp3 which you can customise. Try winamp.com plugins.

I know a small programming language related to HTML, which is called HTA. Using this language, if you tell me how you want it to look and work, I'll make a small application for you.I can:

- Make it fullscreen, so you don't get the IE6 toolbars
- Make the scrollbars disappear
- Make it so the right-click does nothing, rather than displaying a message or displaying the context menu
- Make it so dragging will not select any of the text or objects in teh application
- Customise the icon
- Change whether you want several windows containing the same application to be opened at once or not
- Get rid of the title bar so it is FULLY fullscreen
- If you choose to have the title bar, I can disable the minimize, maximize and restore buttons
- With my knowledge of HTML, I'll make it look and work however you want.

There are tones of other things I can also do with it, just ask.

Interested?

Also i should have said i don't know much about HTML and that all means nothing to me, sorry.

Another problem i have just found is when i get the first page to launch at boot it has to launch in IE6 and this leaves the outer buttons of IE6 which i don't want, i only want the page is there any way of doing this?.

That little script gets the value of the key pressed and displays it in the text box. It works for the actual letter, but the numbers etc give strange responses.
