Why do people write the word (space) in the middle of a link, when they post it?

Can some people not see the fact that there is already a space in place, as it were?

Should we really have to stoop to such a low level to help these inbred-donkeyface people? Or sohuld we laugh at them with much jest when they post "Da link doont wok", Hahahaha! style?

Discuss.

I find it annoying myself.

It takes me longer to delete the '(space)' than it does to just delete the space which would normally have been there. I rarely have any trouble spotting a space in a URL.

Even if you do miss it, you can go straight up to the %20 which replaced the space when you recieve the 'page not found' message, and press delete three times.

And you're still done in fewer keypesses...

I put it in because I often miss the space in a link. After all, it's only the size of a character, and the stuff is jargon, not real words, which would make the space easier to detect.

Yep, to highlight the space. And when people don't, in my c***-eyed lameness I paste the link straight up, then have to do it again when I get the error page.

Believe it or not, some people really are so c***-eyed that they can't see the space and figure out why links don't work.

I suppose it eliminates any chance of people not being able to notice the space. Can't hurt anyone can it?

Please post a reply to this response in the space below (you can quote this message to do so):

I put (space) in so that its easier to see where the spaces are and therefore to delete them. When people just put a space I always end up having to go through the link checking for spaces, which annoys the hell out of me.

So there you go.
