Of course but the R9700... is not far off the FX i heard somewhere that nvidia saying it is likely to be found in game developers computers... and gamers that are most likely to be professional who have the dosh and determination to have the best for them available for any tournaments they go to and the best (so far) to use to develop games.
Dude, the FX is still probably the best card on the market until the 9800 becomes available, it's just very expensive. The NV35, by history, should be much, much better.

Definately the 9700pro, that 2400 will go up to 2600 speed if you're that bothered about it anyway, but you'll notice the difference between the card a lot more than you will that 133mhz..
Well it definitely depends on the game, but I'd lean towards the R9700Pro, despite the fact that nVidia 0wnz.
