i know this has probably been asked a million times but what do people think is needed to make the best games.
i mean like what sort of things, i personally think its nothing to do with graphics etc and just more to do with the fun factor- it needs to be rewarding

Actually if you could do OTT tricks as you fell then Activision would probably licence it as another Hawks-a-like spin-off.

yep, but you need the other stuff as well. Extreme Bungee jumping with pixels and everytime you play you die wouldn't make a decent game, would it?

A good plot, non-linear gameplay and the chance to do allsorts that you can't do in everyday life. Graphics are a good factor, but I could easily go back to my PSOne for graphics now
