Are Sony paying you?
Can't you think of something better to put in the example than "Why Playstation 2 is great" ?
Playstation 2 is great if you stick hot water piper to it and use it as a novelty radiator!
Playstation 2 is great as an expensive paperweight
Playstation 2 is great if you want to see more adverts of talking ducks on TV!
Sony should use that green duck from Orvile and cuddles to advertise the PS2! That would be better!
Playstation 2 is great for short people to sit on in hairdressers
Playstation 2 is great for making the PSone look even worse than it already is!
etc
Well, it is Sony’s machine for a start!
Anyone who has a PSX will know what a console it was, and still is!
The graphics were marvellous! Especially for a 32bit console. The games on it were outstanding.
Metal Gear Solid was a title never to be forgotten.
I purchased my Playstation 2 around November in time for Christmas, and got SSX and Timesplitters with it. I have enjoyed the two games very much, but after I completed them I got bored of them so I felt like I needed to play another game. I searched frantically for another PS2 game but their was nothing good to offer me (IMO) Other people will think different but it’s just down to taste. There was the games like Tekken Tag, Smugglers Run, midnight club and the like but they didn’t interest me.
I am like a gaming addict, because when I waited to long without playing a new game I often feel the urge coming on to buy a new game. As there was nothing on the market I was getting really annoyed. Tekken Tag Tournament and Dead Or Alive 2 appeared to be OK, but I needed better than just OK.
ZOE was released and I travelled swiftly down to GAME and bought the game. It was great! No, it was outstanding!
Then I was lucky enough to win GAD and I choose Shadow Of memories for it. Now there is a game and a half. I think it’s Sony’s Shenmue. I will not tell you too much about it because it will spoil it for you, but believe me (or Ant who also has it) the game is pure class.
I had now gained faith back into Sony, and of course the PS2. I started to loose faith when the pre-ordering scheme was useless and there weren’t too many games to choose from. I know understand that this happens to every console and I am going to give the Playsta\tion2 time because I think that’s all what it needs to shine.
The games, which are out today, don’t push the PS2 capabilities too much, but in the future there will be great games to come. The best IMO will be,
The Getaway- A game, which combines a bit of Driver with better graphics, and a bit of grand theft auto too. It is based around the streets of London, and I have seen a few screens shots, and believe me, they were so good, I wasn’t sure if they were computer graphics or an actual photo of London streets.
Red Faction- This game is set to be a great 3D-shoot em up. Again, the screen shots of the game look promising. Maybe this could be the Timesplitters beater that we have been waiting for.
Wipeout Fusion- Any fans of the original Wipeout series will be wetting themselves with excitement. Its gonna be tougher, faster and will get the speed indrelelene (can't spell that) right up.
ISS Pro Evolution- the footy games on the PS2 haven’t been up to scratch recently have they? Lets be honest, every FIFA game that comes out looks the same as the previous so lets just hope the new ISS will be more original.
G-Force- This is really a motorcyclist dream! The previous Motor bike games have been a little disappointing because of the lack of speed. Well, we can finally say goodbye to the old and welcome the new! This is just like a wipeout on wheels, only FASTER!
Of course I could mention MGS2 but I’m sure everybody will know all about it, or even played it! I won’t bother giving the game a description because you will know it anyway.
So, as you can see, the future of the PS2 is not a problem at all, infact the future of the PS2 is looking very promising indeed!
I really do hope that the PS2 will survive the launch of the GameCube and the X-Box because I don’t know if I can live without my PS2. I am really grateful to Sony for blessing me with the PS2. Some Playstation 2 owners are disappointed with their machine, and I can slightly understand this. Most peoples reasons are that there aren’t to many games out for the moment, which is true, but give it time, and you will be pleasantly surprised.
There are some people who are a little doubtful for the PS2’s future but don’t be put off by people saying that the PS3 will be out soon, and Sony will dump the Ps2 to work on the PS3 because that is a load of rubbish. Yes, there may well be a PS3 one day, but it will not be in the near future, and if you do want to wait another 4-5-6-7-8 or however many years for the PS3, so be it but I would advise you to purchase a PS2 right away.
Another good reason that I think the PS2 will not go out of business is because of how wealthy Sony are at the moment
I am very pleased that I bought the PS2, and I am sure that I have made the right decision in buying it. I am pleased with everything to do with the PS2, apart from the lack of games at the moment, but I am not too annoyed because I know that there are plenty of games in the making for it.
People could argue that the price is expensive and it is! I can not defend Sony with the price. Yes you get a DVD player, CD player with it but some people don’t want that. People buy a console to play games on.
If you’re one of those people who know they will not use the DVD or CD player then I think the Gamecube will suit you.
However, if you do like watching DVD films and listening to music, the PS2 will be just fine for you.
So there you have it, good and bad points with the PS2.
"YOU CAN

That's impossible! You need electricity to power the PS2 first!
