Right, would like your views on this. Not what you hear others saying or what you think will sound best to others. Please.

With the situation in Iraq we have seen many anti-war demonstrations all over britain and over the world.
Now maybe it is just me, or the lack of coverage of previous times but why so many demonstrations?
I don't seem to remember much with the Russians recent problems, or the situations in Israel and the surrounding area.

I don't know if it is just selfish as we have troops and a small say in things that people don't want to feel responsible or the chance of a threat of our own safety.
Maybe it is just because of all the couverage. Or its better to be anti-war than pro-war in todays society?

To me it just seems there is a lot of anti-war demonstrations going on, but I would doubt to see so many if we remained neutural in this whole situation.

I could be way of target, if I am please point me in the right way.

Nail on head.

In my view...

Why are there so many protestors?

Because Ms Dynamite told us to say

"Peeeeace!"

"freeeedom!"

I'd say that a chunk of the protestors are sheep, going along with the sentiments of a few. I believe society is becoming increasingly more conformist, if you don't agree with the masses, you could be in trouble.

The war itself? It sucks. It's stupid. It doesn't make a great deal of sense. But it's happening, and it won't stop until the Americans and British have what their leaders want, or they leave with tails between legs.

I don’t believe anyone “wants” war, but I personally believe it is needed sometimes.

For me, this is one of those times. I think Saddam needs to be removed, and he will never step down.

Is there ever actually a war that people want though.

I do see your point, could may well play a big part in the number of people who join the protests... maybe a lot of the people are anti-this war instead of anti-war...

Let me correct that, a war that a lot of the public didn't want.

I think it’s more that this was a war that the government knew the public (and even members of their own government) didn’t want, but went ahead with anyway. So there have been more protests then maybe there were in the past.
