I've given up looking for one. Instead, I was wondering if it was safe to use a normal sized PSU outside the case, seeing as the cover is off anyway?

I think you can get higher powered ones that are the same size as the Shuttle PSU these days.
I need it to replace the 200W one in my Shuttle. Apparently, according to Sudhian Media, there are loads of smaller external PSUs which run quieter. If I buy an external one, I can also take out the old one, leaiving more room to watercool the damn thing. And to think this originated from playing games.
why does it have to be External and do they even exist at all!
