Sony were working with nintendo to produce a cdx drive, thats what gave them the idea to make there own console!!!
WStrange that Nintendo's last joint venture with sony was rubbish, but now they're working with Panasonic(/Matsushi) on the GC. History repeats...

Sony were working on a SNES+, but, after the project had finished, Nintendo decided they didnt want to release the console after all and told Sony where to shove it...
But have you seen what the console would have looked like. It was a Snes with a cd drive and the word "Playstation" at the top. Edge ran an issue where the first page had this pictura on saying that this was a world exclusive PS2 pic. V. Funny!
