This is probably on a smaller scale, but I always remember embarassing moments, and moments where I wish I'd done something else. I always forget good things. Just the other day, someone reminded me about some things that happened when I was younger, and it was vaguely familiar, or not familiar at all. Felt pretty good. It's a bit like trying to remember something you were thinking of just before you fall asleep.
