British forces' Lt. Col. Tim Collins:

CNN report:

"A U.S. flag flew over the Iraqi port of Umm Qasr on Friday after U.S. Marines took control"



Hmm?

I read that they yanks had to take their flag back down agian.

"Remember troops, we are here to liberate Iraq (Eye-rak, of course) from the evil regime of Saddam Hussein, and not to conquer it...."
"Simmons! What the hell are you doing, get that flag down!"

But how stupid is it to erect an American Flag smack bang in the middle of Iraq? It's as if they were rubbing the Iraqi peoples' noses in it.

It was a British colonel, and a US flag. There's the difference :)
