Rumsfeld promises "the coming military action will be unlike anything seen before"

And reports are coming in that oil wells have been set on fire in Southern Iraq.
Better hurry "our boys", else you'll have nothing left in a bit.

I'm actually confused as whether the quotes around the pictures on front pages suggest this war is actually happening.

Being a student, I've been watching the many events unfold on daytime tele. I've got cable and have been switching through tons of reports on all 4 major cable news channels (BBC24, Sky News, ITV News and CNN), heck I even stayed up until 2 watching things unfold. But the highlight of the day has got to be when RI:5E asked Barry from Eastenders his thoughts on the whole "war" issue. Mmmmmmm, insightful.

I hope Chris Morris gets royalties.

Go watch The Day Today's war coverage, then watch Sky.
Or, for the nadir of brainless mindwrong, watch GMTV.
This morning had Penny whatserface interviewing Simon Weston "So what's it like to recieve the call to arms and to step out onto the battlefield knowing you may be killed?"
"....I dont know, I never made it off the ship"
"....right. Hahahahah! Time for the weather"

Imagine if the UN was run by Fog Chat.
THAT is GMTV's coverage

But the fact that they're burning oil nearly seems as if they're already surrendering because they think that there's no chance of them getting it in the end and so might as well burn it.

They're talking about it like some sort of new special effect in a film: "It'll blow you away... literally"
