Does anyone in this world think that footballers wages are far to high? That a wage cap should be put in place by FIFA? I think so myself!
The high pay of footballers may be over-the-top, but it shows how successful the game is now- money= success. And the FA disposed of the pay cap in the 60s under pressure from the PFA and Jimmy Hill- whose former Fulham team-mate Johnny Haynes then became the first £100/week player in the UK. The pay cap only ever caused trouble anyone. Stuff the idea of re-introducing it.
David Beckham earns more in a week than I do in a year !!!! But I guess I have to except it.
If clubs are prepared to pay so much, then let them. I've got nothing against footballers wages, although I think it is ridiculous money.
