On my way home from uni I walked past this guy handing out leaflets, went I said no thanks he replied, "They are to stop the war". My reply of they won't stop a war seemed to shock him a little so I just waled on. Little further on there were a bunch of folk protesting, police all around as they chanted " against bush, against blair against war everywhere." Now I describe these folk as hippies with a bunch of school kids joining in. They sat at one of the main junctions and annoyed a lot of the drivers who were forced to wait.

Now I say well done for standing up for their beliefs, but I actually wonder how many of them understand the actions of why there is talk of war and what could happen if there wasn't one.

But the best moment was when someone shouted, "go to France, there are loads like you there"

Also read that the americans want to bring back WWII soldiers who are burried in American soil in France as they want them back in somewhere that respects what they did better.

I can not swallow that on the news a London school teacher was getting her students (I think it was about year 5 or something) to write protest letters to Blair against the war. HOW DARE THEY USE CHILDREN AS PAWNS IN THEIR OWN POLITICAL PROTEST. For the love of God let these children form thier own opinons. Or better still leave clueless children out of it until they grow old enough to try and make an informed response.

Also, I am not against a war for several reasons I shall not go into, but I am AGAINST the media turning the war into entertainment. Have you seen that big media centre in Quatar with its high tech gizmos? Even worse I find is all these fancy graphics on the BBC predicting whats going to happen in terms of military strategy. Firstly as if they know anything more than I do but secondly it was almost like when you get all those old men commenting on what could happen just before a football match. Scary.

Still I wouldn't want a media blackout.
Goodbye.

As many of you may know I am very anti-war etc

But I am really angered at all these schoolkids marches, running out school etc.

They know jack, absolutely nothing. Afternoon off school to shout and cause trouble and many are anti-war as a fahsion statement

Oh well it gets them out the house for a bit and after they've waved their little banners and chanted their little rhymes they can go home, feel good about themselves thinking they actually made even the slightest bit of difference to the world and plan their next protests against the next war.

Much rather watch the television myself.

I am against petitions of ALL kinds, on the basis that they do NOTHING.

And it's been clear for several months we have had a war. All the mugs who missed Arsenal vs Man Utd to go on a March are stupid.
