what was the first alf film called, the one before project alf, cos project alf was brilliant

i htink it was a tv program in the US in the early 90's, is project Alf a newish film when at the end he about to be revealed on TV but isn't and he is brown cool guy. cos that's a cool movie

he has had a film out for ages, called project and i wanted to know whether it had another film or whether it was a t.v program
