Say you were to recieve an email from a colleague that originated from a Parlimentary Researcher for the Secretary of State Environment, and let's say this email contained an amusing but sexually explicit jpg.

Now, let's say for argument's sake that you were to notify the press of the sorts of emails being sent by government employees and they were extremely interested in the story...would your conscience bother you?

I temp in the Government and the amount of emails of a v.sexual nature that circulate is enormous. This is between all members of staff and not just us lazy basts. I suppose it would be hypocritical to claim that Gov employees should be saintly and set an example to other office workers. After all, no one likes work, so anything to make the day bearable is ok by me, within reason.

Fair enough.

*email deleted*

It was genuine though, silly chap had left his auto-signature at the bottom giving his name, address, job title and contact info.
Whoops!

I'm going to email him and suggest he removes his signature from future emails like that.
Cheers boys

Don't do it.

Why punish someone who has probably made you smile, or at least your colleague smile? It doesn't matter where you are in the world, you're allowed to have your own tastes, no matter what the press says.

Sending the press information on this is just helping the world to realise that little bit more that we're wrong to be the way we are.

Erm, probably not, nope.

If they genuinely sent the thing, they should have thought about the consequences before hand.

I'd just be careful to make sure that the email was genuine.
