After releasing the hit (?!?) single 'Touch My Bum', it seems that the Cheeky Girls have been wiped from very existance, thank god, as I have heard nothing new on them.

But am I right? Or are they lurking in a studio somewhere desperately trying to write new lyrics for their next single? Surely after being called 'The worst act ever' they can't release another pile of pap onto our radios?

Believe it or not, I have traveled to the far reaches of hell (the Offical Cheeky Girls website) and whilst there have not read any news of a new single.

So maybe we are saved?

Maybe they are gone forever?

Dare I say it, maybe they are dead?

Here's hoping.

Said on the radio this moring that they have not one but two songs in the pipe line, ready to go. I could make this post far more interesting by remembering the names of the songs... but I can't. The second was a cover, but with the word "Cheeky" substituted for one of the other words usually in the song. See, innovative.

The next controversial release, Touch my Mum, is due out in a couple of weeks, this will be shortly followed by a song promoting world health, Touch my gum, and the lament to poverty, Touch my slum.

No, they’re still out there somewhere, plotting and scheming their next piece of novelty crap, probably an Ibiza remix of 'Touch My Bum' for all the ‘Ibiza massive’ to enjoy in the summer.
