A question I pose to you is one of my stepbrother and his new love-fascination.

After being friends with one girl for about a fortnight, my stepbrother has now entered a relationship with her (which is a good start and I hope it goes well for him).

But, as I'm still a guy that has been single his entire life, I don't really know what to base his fascination with as it does seem slightly weird. Every moment he can, he is on the phone to her (I think he now has tan lines of a mobile around his ear/cheek), always around her house etc. which I can understand is quite a natural feeling of wanting be close to someon you desire - but it seems too much.

Don't get me wrong...the relationship I have with my stepbrother is always one where I like to keep him at arms length and will even go into other rooms to avoid him - so him being on the phone/always out is a good thing, although I do honestly believe the amount of time he is glued will probably cause it to burn out quickly.

The only thing that bothers me about the whole thing is the fact he has one of her bracelets (Barbie pink, horrible beaded thing that looks like it is won out of a cracker) and insists on wearing it on his arm. I don't actually think it looks too different from this. Along with that he is wearing one of her white fluffy scarves and a tight top (because she likes it). He does look a right mess. The issue that bothers me is the fact he keeps going on and on moaning about why people keep giving him odd looks/saying he is gay/guys trying to pick him up.

We (as in the household) have told him straight that what he wears does set him up for odd looks etc. But to finish this topic off, is this sweet that he makes himself look daft to impress one girl, or is he stupid to actually let one person he has known for about a month dictate what he wears and make himself be a target for abuse.

And the second question to the lads...would you ever wear a bracelet like that in full view when working/clubbing/socialising.

I may seem like a right jerk for posting this (everybody has a right to decide on what they can or can't do), but I do want an honest opinion. Am I behind on the times? Are pink cracker bracelets the new rage for men? Any lines I can use to tell him to shut up when he complains about how many times somebody has commented on his choice.

I'm currently wearing some fingerless gloves that belong to a girl I've been getting a bit, erm, friendly with recently. But only because she insisted I wore them last night as it was bloody freezing, and it's now cold in my house instead.

And courtesy of beer and some gothic friends, I had a corset fitted onto me a few days ago... but that was for the lulz.

I think we hit the level of being ashamed long before this. Half of me expects him to be gay as he seems so far in the closet he's having adventures in Narnia, but then growing up he was obsessed with girls/sex. So I think the jury is still out on that one.

And jubba, you are right, he does like to "work-out" with his weights - he looks kind of funny as he only focuses on his arms - looks a bit like hulk, but no abs to match :p (Joe Swanson off of Family Guy style...)

He probably is gay. He's just using her so he can be diluted by the colour pink.

Just wait until he's left facing the big wide world with his own sense of fashion and femininity.

That's when your family will be ashamed.

I had pink hair, but only because I tried to get red streaks and blonde highlights together. D'oh.

Still, it was a talking point for a while!

Thinking of getting that temporary stuff in red and green for the Christmas party on Friday.

I've worn pink bracelets, girly bracelets etc, had bright pink hair, and red hair, blonde mullet etc. I don't think its always a bad thing on their own. If you then combine them though with a tight top, women's emo jeans etc then I can see why people would call him gay.

I'm presuming that from your comment about the tight shirt that he is off slight build. I think I've got away with Pink Hair, Pink Bracelets etc because I'm a big bloke and in a band so I suppose I can get away with it more.

I myself currently have an obsession with a mildly gay pirate costume i saw a few months ago. I've been warned not to buy it.

I, and a few of my friends, have worn worse in public.

Well we do anyway. He goes off in a huff (but then again if anything is remotely to his disliking he gets funny with everyone).

I mean I am single and probably would love nothing more than to be in a relationship, but I don't think there would be any way that I'd change my attire to make myself look silly. He does look incredibly ridiculous (especially with a change of hair style that further magnifies the gay look). Nothing against anyone being gay, but is he trying too hard to be with this girl to overcompensate his sexuality. He has even freely admitted having a crush on John Barrowman...

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
