IGNDC: Will there be an online configuration feature in the US version of the game, or will we need to use another Dreamcast product to configure out internet settings?
JK: You will need to use your Dreamcast Browser to configure your ISP settings.
There you have it, if your going to import the US version, you will need the US browser disc, which will allow you to set-up the ISP of your choice.
It's all good!

If you haven't already bought it, wait for the US release instead man - it's only a couple of weeks away. Getting online with the Japanese version can be a real pain, not to mention you can only go online for 30 days before you have to pay a 'Hunters License' which they do in Japan.
In the US however, it's free, like it will be here.
Besides, your character created with the Japanese version will be incompatible with the US and UK version of the game.
Just a suggestion.

I'll probably be online playing later again, maybe Sega sorted the problem out while i was away :-)
I remember you as Bleeders I think.
Well, I don't know how they did it but the DC's 33.6K modem certainly is efficient - no time lag on Quake 3, and now PSO will be smooth? Whatever next - connection speeds being reported as 56K or something!!
Have you read my DC post 'Dreamcast New Year' yet?

However, PSO will not be supporting the Broadband modem, well, not officially anyway. By this, I mean, it will more than likely work, but Sega have said they won't be recognising PSO as a broadband title.
Reason for this is because, Sega feel a silky-smooth connection can be achieved using the Dreamcast's standard modem.
