This is www.CO.UK not .COM
;-)
What you are actually looking at is www.www.co.uk if you see what I mean.
Domain Name:
www.co.uk
Registrant:
Woolworths Plc
Registrant's Agent:
The Public IP Exchange Ltd t/a UUNET [Tag = UUNETPIPEX]
URL: http://www.uk.uu.net
Relevant Dates:
Last updated: 22-Jan-2003
Name servers listed in order:
ns0-w.dns.pipex.net 158.43.129.87
ns1-w.dns.pipex.net 158.43.193.87
They must have sold it or something...
> Woolworths must own the domain. Somehow.
Yep, they bought it like anyone else would with a Domain :)
Names arn't actually www.whatever.co.uk, just whatever.co.uk, so www.co.uk is a valid Web Address ... be it an odd one :)
www.com is also gone, to a music site I believe.
People will go there by accident or otherwise, people will see their website, people might buy things.
Makes sense to me.
