Just now, I looked at my watch. It was just coming up to 12am, midnight, start of a new day, and an end of one that you will never see again.
The dates changed, numbers switched, and time just went on. And it hit me, for some reason. It will never stop. I'm here for a fraction, then gone. Our dates may change, our measurement of time may show it to be 12.01, but in fact none of that matters, because it will always go on.
No idea why I did that. Just a sudden impulse off the back of a feeling or helplessness I suppose.
