The "Freeola Customer Forum" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
I’ve been signed up with the badgermaniac name for over 800 days, which is a lot longer than most of you ‘Regulars’, and in this time I have read a lot of the topics and replies that are posted this particular part of the forum. I must say guys, I’m not totally impressed.
The way you guys will probably see it is:
“Hmm SHEEPY has made a post on the life forum, I’ll go check it out” *reads it* “wow that was quite good! Now me being a regular who is scraping at the chance of being a notable, should really try my very hardest to make an interesting and impressive reply, thus making this notable respect me” and so forth…
But when you see that a JAT or newbie has a made a post I believe that more often than not you guys simply ignore it, or give it a once over not really thinking about what this person is saying. For all you know this guy could be the pope and you wouldn’t have a clue. Even if the guy posts “I am the friggin Pope you nutters!” You probably wouldn’t take any notice.
When the minority of you do actually post a reply to the post, it is usually a very effortless, “yeah, blah blah blah” reply.
SOME of you guys are like a stupid bull. You see red, you charge with anger and supreme pointless rage.
I am not referring to all of you crazy people, some of you lot make some pretty decent posts that make me think a lot, but I can never really be that bothered to reply.
The people that I am referring too will probably be in total disagreement with me, and most others will too, but this is just a very obvious pattern than I have noticed when reading through these forums.

I would love to meet the pathetic morons that freely allow their insufficient thought processes to follow such fatuous routes of delusionary stupidity.
"If I lick SHEEPY'S colon, I might be thought of as the next notable". Nobody *really* thinks like that, do they? With the exception of a few "forums representatives", the notables are people who have won people over with thought provoking or interesting material posted on the boards. Me? I dunno how I got here, but it wasn't by kissing SHEEPY's a**e.
I am, however, the first to admit to coming down with the iron cast fist on the heads of certain newbish cretins. However, I will deny not reading what they have to say. I read it alright. However, it's all too often the case that what I find myself reading is some nonsensical crap about the favourite place to download ringtones, or a plug for some go-awful homepage or some such uninteresting load of toss.
There are of course those JATs who arrive and immediately make a good impression of themselves, but they are few and far between and while we do all we can to hold onto them, all the while the forum continues to drown in the saliva spattered drivelling of a bunch of illiterate peasants.

It takes at least 21 days to be a regular. Hopefully, thats plenty of time to realise which forums are fo which kinds of posts.
The dumb posts are generally made by newbies who appear, and think 'hey, I haven't posted in that forum yet'. If they could read some of the content first, it may prevent them clogging it up in future.
Obviously, there would be the odd idiot who didn't learn, but thats better than 20. At the moment they may as well rename the forums "Goober forum 1-10".
The customer services is going the same way. Even the staff are giving up on it. There are about a million "I spwelt my name wong, how did can I chang it" and other such posts.
"I am a moron who posts before he thinks and now wants you to delete the resultant message" posts seem to be firm favourites too.
Maybe we could ban newbies from FOGc :o
Don't even get me started on that one.

They're really scraping the barrel now. Is nothing sacred anymore? Evict those people from Life. Now.

Agree totally.
FOG Chat used to be amusing. About a year ago, we used to sit in there and post crap, but generally of a witty nature. It was a light hearted way to get through work/uni.
Now its just full of mindless goons saying "I fink this is funny rolfrolfrolflololololol" and its a shame. Attracted by the chance of free games and lots of other users, the forum was swamped by, appart from the odd notable exception, mind dead morons.
Now 'Life' is going the same way as chat (and indeed the movies forum) went. I'm still up for for excluding new topics by newbies. As Snuggly said, those who really want to post, will stick around if they wawnt to start new topics.
Unfortunately, this wont solve all problems (i just noticed a thread saying 'what shall I change my tag too, now I'm a regular?') by someone who really should be blocked from anywhere but Chat. It will, however, help the situation.
It's to do with morons with useless, juvenile crap.
This is the last place here that is mostly free from total rubbish. Go look at chat etc, it's complete toss. Really, it is.
When I come to life, I like to see what had been here: Poems, writing, musings on life, lengthy discussions about politics, people expressing their emotions and a 96% intelligent forum.
But as more and more of these drooling tards see the post count going up, they spack on in and start pulling it down to the level of the other forums.
What I do find interesting, and annoying, is that most of the people contributing to the "should we ban newbies" discussion have rarely, if ever, posted here.
Yet suddenly you're all red faced and soiling in your nappies at the thought of being excluded for being stupid.
Well I'm sorry, I worked hard to learn about the world, I spent a long time making sure I could operate and discuss at a level I find stimulating.
But it's going with more and more morons posting nonsense.
Go look, some crap about taglines, one tool asking "opinions pls".
Why? Why do you people feel the need to ruin a place that was good, simply because you dont want to be excluded?
There are times when exclusions is necessary, because (and this is going to sound harsh), some of you are really, really thick and unable to discuss on a level that anyone with a mental age above 9 would not find dull.
Shut up, go back to Chat and CBBC and talk about Nintendos or what you did in school today.
Don't pull this forum down to a level that is pre-historic in terms of ideas and thought.
Snuggly suggested it, and now it's not happening because you don't want to feel left out.
What about me? What about those of us that are sick to death of reading rubbish, so we come here looking for decent topics and find it slowly drowning in mediocrity?
Why should I/we lose a decent forum because you're sulking and getting moody?
Dont get angry at Snuggly for suggesting a limited access forum.
Raise your game so you can't be excluded.
Hmm?
Answer me son, because you know it, I know it, and Tony knows it, that you are rambling on about absolutely nothing, and making a fuss out of something that is just nothing.
This is possibly a prime example why they were contemplating this decision. Idiots such as yourself, attempting to agitate and aggrivate other members, for no good reason at all, and posting spam filled pieces of worthlessness, that demands the intelligence of one of MWA's pubes to understand it.
