Oftentimes, I feel lonely. I feel lonely and depressed, I get down a lot (;-D). No really, I just feel miserable, because I'm bored, and there's nobody about where I live, and so I've found ways of getting... happy again. Grix's piece I just read was incredibly uplifting, you have no idea. But most of all, I've found music to be a great way of feeling better.
Because music tells a story. Not your usual 'Avril Lavigne' crap, which does actually tell a story anyway, but in other ways. I got Luca Turilli's latest album yesterday, and it tells a story. The songs are based on a story, and whether you know what the story is or not, you can understand from the mood and tone of the song. The first song on his 'Symphonic Cosmic Metal' album (that's what the genre is, supposedly) is one of the proudest songs I've ever heard. I don't know why (it's called War of the Universe).
This is just a short post, I wanted to get that song off my chest. It's great, and makes me feel better when I'm down. Also, Your Man by Smash Mouth is a brilliant one for it.
