"Have you seen the result? It's brilliant!"
And I thought "YES! this must be something good" then he told me it was a C gone up from a D. Don't get me wrong, I was pleased...but thats so average. Then everyone else around me had got their results which were bloody good (A's/B's one person had gone from a U to an A in one unit). I tried, I really did, in that ******* exam and the best I get is an average grade?
Then later in the day I saw the grade book in English Lanuage (the book that tells us what grades we're expecting) and low and behold, I'm predicted an average C whilst certain other members of the group are getting A's without trying too hard - it's just depressing being average.

And of course Doctors Scientist and Teachers are the last thing that we need.
If you were told this, you should be considering *why* a force acting towards the center makes it rotate. If this question didn't enter your head, you are not concentrating properly. If you couldn't answer it, you don't really understand what you're being told and should ask the teacher.
That's the difference between listening, and really concenrtrating.
If you're struggling in one of these subjects, putting in more time trying to teach yourself outside of lessons won't necessarily do the trick. Absolute 100% concentration in the lessons is your best bet. That does not just mean listening and remembering. It means thinking about things as you're told them, considering the implications in your mind and checking that you can definitely make sense of it.

Sounds like bad teaching to me

nice comeback....makes me feel a little better...for being stupid.

I'm a physics geek with a natural maths ability. Though saying that, I'm watching my maths grade slide at the minute due to total motivational failure.
There are plenty of people in my class failing amazingly well.
I can cope pretty much okay. Like before.
> From a U to an A!!??
that was in one unit...out of three.
so, i think he got U C C in the three units before the resit...then A C C afterwards. still good though.

god damn. i did it at AS and completely FAILED although I blame crap tutors and lack of motivation....
Maybe I'm just not trying....i need to try.
Ok, heres the deal, A complete revise of my study life:
Mondays & Wednesdays:I'm going to revise biology for 2 hours each afternoon.
Tuesdays & Thursdays: I'm going to write a piece of orignal writing/short story to improve my skills for English. I might get some questions from the tutor.
Saturdays & Sundays: I'll revise computing for 2 hours.
Fridays I get off.
Let the games. begin.

I was talking about A level Physics. Well, AS level. The chap I was talking to said that it was dead easy once you knew the formulae, but really boring because that's all it was. There was hardly any explanation, or anything other than formulae for ever.
