Hi guys!

I am debating wether to get some of the "RDRAM Rimm - 256 MB RAM PC800". I was wandering whether when Special Reserve say, "must be fitted in pairs", does that mean that it has to be fitted with another 256mb pc800 stick, or would it work on its own with three 64mb pc800 ram sticks filling up the rest of the motherboard's ram slots, as this would be easiest and cheapest because i currently already have four 64mb pieces of ram, and hence could just take out one and replace with a 256mb stick.

Thanks in advance,
Ed

you currently have two pairs of 64mb and as far as I know RIMM *does* need to be matched pairs, so it'd have to be 2x256mb. To be honest, it'd probably be cheaper to buy a new mobo and DDR memory than to buy RIMM...
