Footsteps can be heard down the hallway, the creak of a floorboard, the thud of a footsteps
The air is warm, stuffy, but still
The night is at its midday and you've woken
What has woken you, the dream, the dream you were having
The girl in the dream was you, or was it something else
Downstairs you can here it
It's down there but doesnt want to hurt you
It wants to care for you, come downstairs
On the landing, hand on banister
you can feel the blood pumping down your arm and into your hands
hot, clamy, senses multiplied in the darkness to a mere nothing
light shines in from a bedroom
looking up seeing yourself in the mirror, its your house in that mirror
youv've seen it before
in a dream? In reality? Now, in the present?
Its calling you once more, wanting you
you step down onto the first step of the stairs
a cool wind blows up from the darkness below
you see the front door, you see the hall mirror
reflection of a shadow can be seen
its a girl
a young girl very much your age
calling
You descend the flight of stairs, looking, wishing the dream will end
havn't you just woken up though? Is this still a dream
reality is for the faint hearted, dreams are where we really live,
dreams are where we can breathe, you choose the air you breathe
You step down onto the floor and the darkness surrounds you
Waking up you see the light is back, is it a dream or is it reality
