Burnout was a success - all matches but one were posted on time, and every one was of the highest quality. The following is a list of results from the first PPV of 2003:
- TOO COOL (ANT AND STARLIGHT) beat The Hardys (Asher D and Grandprix), Rosey and Jamal (Jericho15 and Bazzman) and Rey and Edge (LL Cool TT and DW) to become the new no.1 contenders for the SRW Tag Team Titles.
- HAVOC (HERCULES) beat Admiral Ape (Asher D) to become the new no.1 contender for the CAW World Title.
- KURT ANGLE (GRANDPRIX) beat Booker T (RM18)
- BATISTA (FIGO) beat The Jackal (RM18)
- BROCK LESNAR (DW) beat Eddie Guerrero (Cong Man)
- THE SYSTEM FIGHTERS (GRANDPRIX AND MIKEALL) beat The Elements (Ant and Jetster) and DoA (Jericho15 and DW) to become the new SRW Tag Team Champions.
- HAWK (AFROJOE) beat Scotty Dogg (Figo)
- RVD (AFROJOE) beat Chris Benoit (Grandprix)
So, we saw two successful World Title defences from AfroJoe, and for the first time in four months we have new SRW Tag Champs, as Grandprix and MikeAll won the titles from me and Jetster. :(
We also have a new EC Champion in DW as Lesnar, and Figo as Batista continued to dominate the hardcore division. Kurt Angle (Grandprix) won the match against rival Booker (RM18) by being thrown off the cage and through a table by his opponent. RM18 as Booker also decided to join the now face faction nWo. Hercules will get his first shot at the CAW Title next week on Eclipse as Havoc, and me and Starlight will look to shock The Fighters in the same week and capture the Tag Titles.
Onto our next PPV, set to be hosted by...DW! If you want to be involved in some of the big matches then get some promos in, and either me or DW will be sure to read them. Chat to DW too.
There'll probably be 3 more Eclipse's, and then the PPV, so make sure you keep up with all the goings on - already we've had Anarchy and Batista (Figo) getting set for the next PPV, as long as Josh Matthews (DW) can beat the Hardcore Champion next week.
I'll add the new Championship Records tomorrow, and a new Eclipse will probably go up thursday/friday and last till next sunday (we still have a couple of this week's matches to go.) DW will then write the next two Eclipse's.
Thanks to all participants and readers, and I look forward to the next few weeks.
Thanks for reading, Ant.
