That's what's raging inside me right now.

Anger.

However menial and meaningless to you this may be it means a lot to me and I wanted to get it out of my system.

About an hour ao my mum told me that we won't be going to the USA this Easter. Why?

Because Mr. American Embassy-man deciced that my uncle (who we were not going to go without, and also the only person who needed a visa) was refused a tourists Visa to the USA. I have my own reasons for this;

1. He is of arabic origin
2. He's married to a Libya
3. He's just got married and settling in the country properly

IT would be nice if they were to refuse his application on those grounds, but instead, to add to the insult, they gave this as an excuse;

Just to expand on your true story, Jeb Bush (Dubya's brother), the senator for Florida got the company who organised the electoral rolls for Florida, Database, to do just what you described above. But that wasn't enough, because when it came to it, Gore was still getting more votes. So the head of Fox's political section said that Bush had won, full stop. Who was this guy? George and Jeb's first cousin. Let's put it this way - why are we attacking Iraq? Get the main problem - get Dubya! But I'm reckoning you already know this, monkey_man...Stupid White Men?

Indeed they have, but it's not just the Bush administration that's helping them........

It seems rather bizarre they'd bar him just for being what you describe him as, but, and whilst I'm not defending them, your uncles application will have been just a name on paper to whoever sorts them, and after 9/11 the tendency is to be insanely strict because no one wants the blame if something goes wrong. On a similar note the local paper in Nottingham ran a story how the foreign office today deported a family that had lived in Nottingham after being granted temporary asylum a few years back.

Which wonderful nation are we sending them back to ? Iraq. Well done us.

In the Florida elections that eventually decided George Bush would be US President you weren't allowed to vote if you had:

a) The same name as a convicted felon
b) A similar name to a convicted felon
c) The same date of birth as a convicted felon
d) A similar date of birth to a convicted felon
e) You looked like a convicted felon

Oh yeah, and the woman who ran the voting company worked for George Bush's administration.

You think your Uncle has problems travelling, think of the thousands of people who couldn't even cast a vote!
