The Future of Gaming is online, but what effect will this have on us... Two addictive past times the internet and videogames moulded together, how will we cope .... will it help us socialise online or will it destroy our lives!

Its not getting me Im off for a while to chill!

I goot news for you my friend. The GAMECUBE WILL be going on-line just not at launch. And just because it plays games only doesn't mean it wont play them on-line, there is nothing to get in the way of Nintendo from having one , if not THEm best on-line gaming community in the world. I don't suppose it will take over PC on-line gamingbut you can bet it will gave SEGA and PLAYSTAION a run for their money!

Offline gaming is far from dead think about games like Conker and Banjo, they both are what I would call top games and they both have great multiplayers.

PSO is a great example of offline play...YES OFFLINE, people train their rangers and amazons or whatever and raise their points up...after they have hit level 80-90 they go on-line and kick butt.

Simple.

Games that have both are good and I just can't wait to see what Nintendo and Rare offer. Imagine it, On-Line Perfect Dark 2...On-Line Metroid...it will be gaming heaven.

BUT having said this Offline gaming will hold its place, people will want to play on their own, the more on-line servers there are the more cheating file editing and illegal stuff will take place. But it isn't all bad, there will be loads of places where you can train interact and meet new e-friends...as well call them.

Offline gaming is just as important!

Offline gaming will still remain the future of gaming for quite sometime yet, facts prove this with us(ENGLAND).being the lowest to play games online out of america and japan, point taken that population is alot vaster in others but if you compare ,we are left in the lerch.it may still be the era of offline gaming but that doesnt matter because we can see that consoles are making a difference the frist of that being the excellent dreamcast with its built in modem allowing people all over the world to go online and frag or take part in an adventure. The PS2 is making steps forward to ensure that online gaming takes major place inside their cor-peration,it is going broadband with games like final fantasy 11.Microsoft's X Box is going to also influence gamers to go online and frag, but the one hold up for online gaming at the mo is the price and speed of their connection.Until people can get free connections and free bills for their internet, they will not use it AS much.

For me,my social life has been in tatters over recent months thanks to segas amazing Phantasy Star Online,Cheers Sega...And i believe that our social lives will be crashed when online gaming does finally take place in England where we are taking part in major tournaments instead of going to America to compete.Online games will crush the community,it will only take a matter of time before this revolution takes place.
