It still appears as if you have sent via your DM account and has the same address, you're just using your own ISP server to send the mail...

pop.freeola.net is freeola's pop server, and does not reject connections from outside the freeola ip range. This means you can check your email from anywhere on the internet, not just the little bit that SR own.
smtp.freeola.net is another story - it does reject connections from other ISPs, for good reasons. However you can almost always use your own ISPs smtp server to send mail - phi11ip and I send our freeola mail via smtp.ntlworld.com.

Meaning you don't need to dial up to chack your Freeola emails!
