Fact:
Xbox 360 coming out with 2 different versions, the basic version will cost $299 and comes with the system and a controller. The second version will cost $399 which has a extra controller,20GB hardrive,Memory card, the xbox 360 of course, and maybe some other things.

Tell me anything you know about the 360.

Hopefully the 360 will be £250-ish. Us paying over $540 for a console that is, technically, under $300, is just unfair. I don't care about taxes... in fact, let's work it out....

The selling cost of the 360 in the States is probably $300.

Tax is added on top of the sales in the US so saying Wal-Mart get $20 from every XBOX sold, Microsoft get $280 per XBOX.

Say the XBOX in the UK is £300...

300 x 1.80904 (£:$)* = 542.712...

£300 x 1.80904 = $542.71...

Take away your 17.5% VAT ($94.9746) for our decadely warmongering, and that leaves $447.74. To put that into pound we'll divide it by 1.80904..

£247.50... MINUS the £20 the goes to Special Reserve (correct me if i'm wrong).. £227.50.

Right, so Microsoft make around £230 per XBOX... times this by the 1.80904 and it's clear that Microsoft make just over $415 per UK 360 compared to the $280 they make on the US 360.

Unless i've gone wrong somewhere... Have I?

The answer to this monetary disgrace? Steal your XBOX 360 this autumn, or at least win one from somewhere.

If, however, the Microsoft Execs get stoned off thier face one night and decide to make the same amount of money from all worldwide 360 sales. Then, taking the US figures as the standard, we could be paying a lot less for our 360s.

Errr... $280 divided by 1.80914 = £154.77.

£154.77 + 17.5% (£27.08) = £181.85 + £20 for Special Reserve and you have the 360 for around £201... call it £200.

So, technically, we should (in terms of equality) be able to buy the 360 for around £200... but life isn't fair and Microsoft are gayboys so WTF!!!"£(!) Haha.

M$ are countryist, I think, yes...

Of course, we could blame the extortionate VAT prices on everything... but it keeps the circle of life going..

How ever could we sleep at night if we didn't allow the governement to rip us off so they/we can go and bomb some people who offended our 'best friends' dad and then wouldn't let our 'best friend' take their oil. I'd definitely need a sleeping aid...

... Chloroform, perhaps.

Actually it will.

Microsoft pretty much said it would be able to connect with the PSP.

Not sure about PS3. But I guess people will make it possible.
