John Hartson blew the SPL title race open as Celtic closed the gap on leaders Rangers with their first Old Firm win of the season.

The Wales striker made amends for two earlier misses by hammering home the only goal of the game as Martin O'Neill's reigning champions got the win they needed to keep the SPL trophy within their grasp.

It leaves Celtic three points behind Rangers with a game in hand, and sends them in to the massive UEFA Cup double header with Liverpool in the best possible shape.

Scottish football. What a joke. Two decent teams in a whole country, and you insist on calling one rivalry a league.

Nah, but the fans are always something to laugh about, however. :-D

Heh, in the last 10 meetings between these two, there have been around 0-70 goals (yes, around 6 or 7 a match), and when it is finally gets shown live in England, the result is poor.

Curse! ;-)

Did you watch it?

I did. Boring compared to the last few Old Firm games I've seen.

I heard it was on in England too.
