Mario is to appear for the launch of the Gameboy Advance!

The game has a working title of Mario Advance, though this is expected to change before release.

Apparently the game will be much in the same style as Super Mario Bros 2 for the NES, with 4 playable characters, each with different abilities.

The game will also feature a 4 player version of the Mario Bros game!

Excellent news!

I've seen pictures of the game and a full Nintendo report with it!

The game looks much better than the original Mario Bros 2!

The 4 player Mario Bros game is based on the original-original Mario Bros game!

The only time I've seen this version of Mario Bros is the battle mode of Mario Bros 3 on Mario Allstars on the SNES!

It looks like an excellent game and cos I'm a fan of 2D platformers I think this game'll do great!

Oh and Game the "POW" was cool too! Maybe though they could combine the 2 unique styles of play of Mario3 and Mario2 and SuperMario, so you can do all that fun stuff ie flying, ride Yoshis, and choose between 4 characters! The Dream may become reality!

No I love Mario2, it was easily the best Mario game on the NES....look at the highlights:

Play as Princess, Toad, Mario or Luigi!

Princess could float!
Toad could Dig fast and grab!
Luigi could jump!
Mario was just a fatter version of Luigi, and bog average!

Plus perhaps my favourite bit, you can pick up the little ShyGuys and chuck them upside down into the quicksand...watching them wriggle helplessly as they try to escape...but as a woodlice on its back - they are doomed! HE HE!!!!
Plus as an added bonus you can walk over them while they are sinking! You can also ride birds (albatrosses), ride flying eggs and walk all over every character in the game!
Mario 2 is just cool, and if GBA Mario is like it then thats cool too!

I can't believe that Nintendo are starting the Mario Advance series off with the least popular mario game ever.

The Game is choppy and stiff. You can't fly, the enemies are rubbish, the screen moves in chunks and there was never a 'POW!' in SM64!

Other than a very disappointing first mario title the GBA has differed to the SR Mag pics. You can get Purple, White or Clear Purple units I suppose to work in effect with the NGC.

I think that all of us here would rather have a new Super Mario 3 based game with Yoshi, Toad and Peach included, I hope that this Copy old format games is not Nintendo's big Idea

We want to see new types of mario...not pre used...if they have to be old big improvements would be gratefully accepted! Surely nintendo can produce a 3D mario like sonic 3d for the Megadrive, That would be ace...

I think that the possibilities are almost limitless and that Nintendo will have disappointed many with the Mario 2-2 news!

The Game
