Excellent news (though some fans may have already heard), renowned anime production studios Studio Ghibli are finally getting their brilliant range of anime movies released on dvd in the UK in the not too distant future.
People in the know when it comes to anime will know that this is fantastic news, as Ghibli are probably the most respected anime house, with a number of great movies under their belt including the Oscar nominated Spirited Away and the already UK released Princess Mononoke amongst others.

Any idea if they'll be avalible to rent?
Plus don't forget ADV are releasing more stuff this year, and MVM, including Oh My Goddess the movie :) And Manga is resuming an increased release schedule. Plus, the japanese Newtype magazine finally became availabvle in English last December so if you have a comic/import shop near you bug them for it, it may be 7 but you get a free DVD with each issue with a new anime episode on, and postcards, posters e.t.c, not to mention the latest news of whats happening in anime in Japan.
Latest issue had Macross Zero in, and Patlabor WXIII, and Chobits, and Noir, and loads more !

And it looks like Spirited Away will get a cinema release in September or October depending on whether they win the Oscar. Which they will obviously.

wow I've been registered for 1069 days o_0 but people like Meka Dragon are considered SP oldies with just 952 days. I couldn't possibly have been here that long.
I will be ordering a lot of Ghibli films on DVD when they come out. Trying to get all my relatives and their kids into them. Looking forward to Laputa but not the new dub >.<
