I haven't got the MegaDrive yet, but have downloaded a couple of option files to choose from. Are they supposed to take like two or three seconds to download and be about 420kb in size?

I can do it with my linux kit, but I doubt that's an easy option for everyone :D.
There is/was a device called GameShark that let you connect directly.
My mate bought one and couldn't get it to work.
