Hi,

On installing the software for the Logitech Wingman Action gamepad I'm asked to reboot my computer, and so I do. Then when I'm back at my desktop I'm asked to plug in my Wingman gamepad and start the config proccess. But when I do this Windows starts building a driver database and a few seconds later a message pops up that says "Insert the Windows 98 CD", so I do. Then when I press OK at this point a futher message says "can't find hidusb.sys file on the Windows 98 CD". And it's this strange file that is causing all the trouble. There is no file on my Hard drive or the win98 CD that's called hidusb.sys. I've tryed reinstalling my motherboard drivers after being tipped off that the file mite have something to do this, but still the file ins't present on my computer. I've reinstalled directX but still no Joy. WTF is "hidusb.sys"? And where can I get it? I have two other usb devices attached too my computer, one of them works fine (scanner) but the other doesn't (printer). I'm not bothered about the printer not working so I wont go on about that but it's just this gamepad I'm badly wanting to use.

Garin, thank you soo much. I just put the file in the system32 folder and the gamepad worked instantly.

Should the file hidusb.sys be on my computer to start with?

You can find the file here:

You'll maybe also need this file

http://www.usb-drivers.com/drivers/16/16416.htm

Just for future reference if you just stick the file name into google, 99% of times you'll find a link real easy.
