So I use ctrl alt delete and closed it, and it sed this prgm is not responding, ok so far, but when you select "end task" in the second pop up, my computer just hangs/freezes/breaks/shuts-off/unresponsive/etc. So I need to reboot the sucker.
Also with games like DF2 I cant exit the windowed view through the game, cos it just freezes up my system.

I never looked for an OpenGL or D3D patch, but if you search for a bit I'm sure you'll find one.

I have Carmagedon 2 and a hundred other old games and it's like I say, a lot of stuff simply wont work on WinXP. That dude on the second post below probably has the latest games that are no more than a year old, and I have stuff dating back to 1993. So there you have it.

WinXP plays all my old games etc, it plays everything I have and everything all my m8s had when they changed to winxp. I no my prgms run on WinXp cos my mum has it on her Laptop! And she has most of my software, such as Office, Graphics prgms, etc. And I sometimes play games on my Dads Pc, and yes, you guest it, its WinXP! LOL!

Barge pole indeed.
Anyway, the crt, alt and delete hang you get is NORAML. I use my computer like 7 hours a day and I get frequent hangs after trying to shut down frozen programs.
And about people suggesting to upgrade to WinXP. Well, why upgrade to an operating system that probably wont run your old programs? I'd rather have crashes every half hour than have to chuck my favourite games in the bin. Windows 98 SE is the best operating system in terms of game compatabilty so I would just stick with the crashes as a crashing game is better than a no-game.
