I am writing to let any of you Surround Sound addicts know what the best type of Surround Sound setup is for your PS2. It is called: VideoLogic Digitheatre. It costs a generous £249.99, and is well worth the money for you working-class people out there. You get more Surround Sound Speakers than most Wide-Screen TV's come equipped with, and can also connect the Surround Sound to your VCR if you feel like it, something that not many Dolby Digital's can boast about.

I will be getting this next Saturday, but is there anyone that has the "Tried & Tested" opinion about it, or will I have to wait for a week and then tell you all how good (or bad-hopefully not) it is??? Has anyone got any different ideas about different systems???

Who else is thinking or going to be buying a VideoLogic Digitheatre??? Make sure you choose just Digitheatre (£250) option, as they also have DTS version which is a more expensive £400! I would recomment these speakers, as they sound better than speakers which you get with Widescreen TV's. If the Sound is this good with a PS2, imagine how good they would be with a Dedicated DVD Player!!!

You can go to www.europe.creative.com to look at the specs.
however you could probably get them cheaper from www.dabs.com or www.simply.co.uk or www.jungle.com.

for the convertor go to www.LEKTROPACKS.co.uk
it will cost you £60

When I saw that VideoLogic Digitheatre, it said that it would connect to a PS2, so I presumed that it would connect to one. I would like this system as it looks really good in the showrooms where I could have bought but I didn't. Please tell me where I could buy that converter from, the converter where I could use it to connect the whole thing to my PS2.

Secondly, you mentioned a Creatuve Labs 3500. Could you please tell me what you get with this package, or even more usefully, tell me which Web Site I can go to to view this, and is there any Retail Stores I could go upto and buy immediately from???

the digitheatre doesn't have an optcal input so will be useless for ps2,the dts version does have optical but dts is overkill there is only about 5 dts dvds released in region 2.creative labs dtt3500 cost about the same as digitheatre and have optical inputs

By the way, HI! I'm Saesee Tom.

I don't know much about Dolby, I'm more of a visual-and-graphic image guy.

I have seen a picture of this beauty. Yes, I like it. And it's designed in a way that makes it look like it can do something really cool like project sound in all the right places, and make your house feel like it better than the owner of Sony's!

Enjoy it. I know you will!
